This toolkit is developed in collaboration with its Originator with the purpose to enable as many people as possible to take action for sustainability and plastic recycling.

About the project

Plastiz is a project from Izmade Impresa Sociale in Italy and a member of the global community of Precious Plastic. Making furnishing elements, panels and construction elements from recycled plastic is a way to produce products sustainably.

This ‘MakersHub’ enables a community to:

  • Collect recyclable clean plastic
  • Build and use machines to turn the plastic into raw material and create new products to be sold
  • Design furniture made with sustainable materials
  • Run courses to learn about recycling and the creative reuse of plastic waste.

To combat this rising challenge a community can organize itself to collect plastic locally and to create new products with the recycled material and provide employment opportunities to people.
